Wish Upon A Star

I look from my window,
Staring to the sky,
There is something that I want to know,
Its been dwelling on my mind,

The stars are winking at me,
They alone know the answer,
Are you really thinking,
Of me and what I whispered,

I remember the way you trembled,
As my lips met your ear,
And the gentle way you fumbled,
To hold me close to hear,

“They say a wish upon a star,
Is said to come true,
So if I wish one that one above,
I will wish of you,

I would wish you’d stay here,
I would wish you’d understand,
I’d wish everything would become clear,
I’d wish I you could stay and hold my hand,

Oh to look upon your face,
Like I stare into the skies,
To hold you close to me,
And hear your content sigh,

To stroke your smooth cheek,
And press kisses all over,
To create a roaring heat,
With the shadows as our cover,

To feel your skin bare on mine,
Your smell intoxicating,
To have the feeling, that it feels so right,
To feel my defenses breaking,

To have you one with me,
Body and soul as one,
Just to have it never end,
Or set with the sun…”

I remember your touch,
As you caressed my small face,
I remembered wanting so much,
Though our surroundings were not safe,

I remember feeling your need,
And your shiver as I touched your blush,
You removed me from my place between your knees,
With a sudden rush,

I remember you kissed my nose,
Before you put me down,
And then you told me to go,
With a smile that resembled a frown,

You told me that now we could not be,
But that our future is entwined,
You said you’d come back soon my sweet,
But you still left me behind,

With tears falling down my face,
I watched you on your horse,
I watched you ride away,
Feeling the depressing pressure of remorse,

So here I am at my bedside,
Wishing upon that star,
That you would be here,
Instead of so far…
